Fire Trak Product Descriptions

The Fire Trak System offers an easy, affordable solution to the problem of providing a fire rating for Head-of-Wall joints subject to 1/2" or more of deflection. The Fire Trak System does this by allowing you to accomplish two things in one step - deflection and firestopping. With Fire Trak you don't need fire caulk or spray for a fire rating. Fire Trak was successfully tested at U.L. to deflect up to 6" without fire caulk or spray. This is what sets Fire Trak apart from other systems. Other deflection tracks, deep leg tracks and clip systems need to rely on fire caulk or spray to achieve a fire rating. Their deflection capabilities are now limited to those of the fire caulk or spray, typically about a 1/2" or less. With the Fire Trak System there are no trade-offs. You get a fully tested and listed fire-rated system that easily satisfies all Building Code Requirements, plus you get all the deflection you need in one simple step. Creating a shoulder on a track to attach an overlapping board for the purpose of joint movement is part of Fire Trak's patented assembly and its use constitutes patent infringement.

The Posi Klip, previously known as the Slip Clip, allows for the positive attachment of studs to track, while allowing for movement.
